![]() ![]() Scholarships are awarded April – June for the following academic year.Scholarship applications are open from October – February 1 each year, with a few exceptions based on specific scholarships.A few helpful tips for applying for scholarships are a currently enrolled student: Students can access the MyScholarships portal from their MyGeorgiaSouthern homepage and log in using Georgia Southern credentials. The MyScholarships portal is home to over $1 million in scholarship funds available to current students at Georgia Southern University based on major, campus involvement, academic merit, and more. Out-of-State Fee Waiver Scholarship – In-state tuition rate, renewable for up to 4 years.On-Campus Housing Award – Goes toward on-campus housing costs for freshmen year.The 1906 Scholarship – A full tuition Scholarship for selected Honors College students.Our most valuable scholarships will be awarded to first-year students who apply by the priority deadline. Our scholarship opportunities and amounts change each year and range from one-time $500 awards to renewable full tuition scholarships. Some scholarships have specific criteria (major, high school, campus location, etc.) and others are awarded based on a scholarship application score determined by our reviewers. Scholarships are awarded based on students’ responses to the scholarship application. You must be admitted by the scholarship deadline in order to be considered.
